Lynn Trotta

For over twenty-two years, Lynn has been dedicated to helping people of all ages mend and find effervescence in their sacred bonds—within themselves, with their community, and with the more-than-human world. As she nears the completion of her MA in Chaplaincy at Hartford International University for Religion and Peace, she is exploring how to offer spiritual care in a world shaped by climate change.
Lynn is a nature-based mentor, a preschool teacher at a Quaker school, and the co-founder of Friends of Buttonhook Forest, a non-profit committed to preserving and protecting a sacred Indigenous site threatened by development. When she’s not leading eco-spiritual ceremonies, she finds delight in gardening, tending to her chickens, and playing games with her husband and teenager. Lynn lives in what is now called Westchester County, N.Y.
