We’re Grateful for Your Support
Thank you for empowering the work of The BTS Center with your tax-deductible gift.
Your generosity enables us to offer high-quality programs of spiritual and vocational formation that nurture spiritual leadership for a climate-changed world.
Ways to Give
Make an Online Donation
One-Time or Monthly
Use a credit card or debit card to make your secure online gift today — either a one-time gift or a recurring gift. The BTS Center is a 501(c)(3) organization, and your gift is tax-deductible.
Share a Gift in Honor or in
Memory of a Loved One
Your donation can be a meaningful way to honor a loved one, living or deceased. We’ll be glad to notify a recipient or surviving family member using the contact information you provide.
Give through a

Please include your telephone number, mailing address, and email address so that we can properly acknowledge your gift and send a tax receipt.
Our Promise
We will not sell, share, or trade our donors’ names or personal information with any other entity. We will not send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. Online donations are processed through a third-party payment processing platform, but we do not store credit card numbers, and donor information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.
Make a Gift of Stock
Nurture spiritual leadership for a climate-changed world by making a gift of appreciated stock or mutual funds. Gifts of stock are tax-deductible based on the stock’s fair market value on the day the gift is received by our broker. When you transfer securities directly to The BTS Center, you avoid the capital gains taxes you’d incur if you sold the stock and made a cash gift.
Donate from your Individual Retirement Account
Taxpayers age 70½ or older can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution, up to $111,000 per person ($222,000 for married couples), directly from their Individual Retirement Account (IRA). Qualifying donations may also count toward your annual minimum distribution requirement and are non-taxable. To initiate this process, request a Qualified Charitable Distribution form from your IRA custodian. (QCDs are not applicable to SEP or SIMPLE IRA.)
Expand your Legacy through your Will or Trust
Consider naming The BTS Center in your will or living trust. Bequests are flexible gifts, which means that they can be modified at any time. If you have a taxable estate, bequests can also offset estate taxes, directing more of your funds to your loved ones. To name The BTS Center in your will or trust, contact your attorney or visit FreeWill.com. You will need this information: Bangor Theological Seminary, EIN 01-0211484, 97 India Street, Portland, ME 04101
