Lyman Jackson

Lyman is a Certified Financial Planner™ based in Newton, Massachusetts. He helps families with college- bound children to balance saving for college and retirement at the same time. Prior to becoming a personal financial planner, he worked for several well known investment firms in Boston. He combines this experience with a compassionate approach to helping his clients develop realistic and attainable goals. Lyman believes that money is a means to an end but not an end in itself. As such, his planning work seeks to explore and uncover what truly makes his clients happy.

Outside of work, Lyman is interested in taking proactive steps to mitigate climate change. He also enjoys the outdoors and continues to serve as an Assistant Scoutmaster to a Scout Troop in Natick where he teaches young men leadership and camping skills. He is also an avid volleyball player.

Lyman is married to Katie who works at Wellesley College. They have three children: a daughter who will
be going to graduate school for family counseling and hopes to eventually have her own farm therapy practice; and two sons who are currently attending University of Rhode Island for writing and journalism and the University of New Hampshire for sports psychology.

Lyman and Katie are longtime members of the United Parish of Auburndale in Newton, Massachusetts which is affiliated with the United Church of Christ. There he currently serves on the Board of Finance. Previously he has chaired this board and managed a capital campaign, and also served as Moderator. Lyman currently serves on the investment committee of the historic Massachusetts Conference, UCC.
