Anastasia Marie (pronounced “ah-nah-stah-see-yah”) is an MDiv Chaplaincy student at Starr King School for the Ministry. She is preparing for healthcare and community chaplaincy, with special interests in climate change, trauma-informed and oppression-sensitive care, climate justice, animal care and liberation, ritual, and spiritual ecology. She comes to chaplaincy with decades experience as a musician, teaching artist, voice professional, and student of ecology and animal studies. She is a practicing ritual artist and a jazz musician. She holds degrees in music performance and ecology. Anastasia lives in Western North Carolina with her husband and cat.
