Leadership Commons Open House

In November, The BTS Center invited you to our quarterly virtual Open Houses showcasing the offerings of our Leadership Commons.
The Leadership Commons is a space where we develop and feature new content from a variety of collaborators — as well as gathering materials adapted from past programs — to help equip faith leaders in the work of guiding communities of spiritual practice through the uncertainties of life on a changing planet.
Our offerings continue to grow as our community of collaborators expands, and the Open House was be an opportunity to learn more about how you and your congregation or community can access and make use of these vibrant resources.
For our November Open House, Rabbi Katy Allen joined us to discuss a resource she has created to help leaders facilitate a workshop based on her book, A Tree of Life: A Story in Word, Image, and Text. Thank you to those who joined us to learn more about this new offering and to connect with others who are interested in utilizing the Leadership Commons resources in their communities.
Meet Rabbi Katy Allen
Rabbi Katy Allen is the founder and rabbi of Ma'yan Tikvah - A Wellspring of Hope, which holds services outdoors all year long and has a growing children’s outdoor learning program, Y’ladim BaTeva. She is the founder of the Jewish Climate Action Network-MA, a board certified chaplain, and a former hospital and hospice chaplain. She received her ordination from the Academy for Jewish Religion in Yonkers, NY, in 2005. She is the author of A Tree of Life: A Story in Word, Image, and Text and lives in Wayland, MA, with her spouse, Gabi Mezger, who leads the singing at Ma'yan Tikvah.
